How to read this comparison
A gateway, a processor, an acquirer and a bank-payment method are different roles. Authorising a card is not the same moment as settlement into the business account. Weekends, a reserve and a chargeback can delay or reduce the payout. This page does not print a settlement time unless the product line already states one.
Payfast's published line keeps card pricing apart from Instant EFT, and it says the price excludes VAT. Ozow's line is a starting card rate and a Pay by Bank rate. Those are not one blended fee, and they are not applied to every other provider. A refund fee or a chargeback fee is not shown as R0.
PCI DSS is a card-network standard. It is not a South African banking licence, and it is not claimed for a provider here. Do not collect card numbers by email or WhatsApp. Personal information in a payment record is still subject to POPIA.
How WiT Money compares these products
Products stay in provider name order. A gateway fee, a device price, a till subscription, an accounting plan and a payroll charge are not sorted against one another. Nothing is ranked as the cheapest. A listed name is not a recommendation, and WiT Money does not sell the service. Where this site has the provider's logo, it is shown. Otherwise the name is shown without a mark.
